Following a workplace incident in which an employee was trapped and injured while manufacturing a trailer, MaxiTRANS Australia Pty Ltd entered an enforceable undertaking with WorkSafe – in lieu of prosecution – in which it agreed to spend $150,000 on training all of its Victorian managers in safety leadership by the end of the year.  It also committed $50,000 to a research project to be undertaken by the Institute for Safety Compensation Recovery Research, ‘preferably in relation to safety leadership, culture and workplace engagement in occupational health and safety’.
