The Home Office has announced that, from 7 June 2013, visa applicants will be able to make an appointment to attend visa application centres in China outside of normal working hours. The fee for this service is 260 RMB.
This service will be useful for busy workers who cannot take time out of their daily schedules to apply for a visa; its introduction further reinforces the UK’s commitment to helping Chinese business visitors and tourists with travelling to the UK.
Prime Time appointments are available at the following locations and times:
Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou: Monday, Wednesday & Friday – 5 pm to 7 pm
Guangzhou, Shenzhen: Thursday & Friday – 5 pm to 7 pm
Additionally for all the above six visa application centres: May – September only: Saturday – 9 am to 12 pm
The Prime Time service will be available only to the following applicants:
- Employees of Select Business Scheme members
- ADS groups
- Business visitors
- Summer school and Winter school groups
- General visit applicants who have travelled to the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Schengen countries within the last 5 years.
