On 24 July 2009, the Association of Investment Companies (AIC) published guidance on investing policies for AIM companies. The guidance is designed to help companies and their nominated advisers understand what information should be included in an investing company's investing policy. From 1 June 2009, all investing companies traded on AIM must publish an investing policy on admission and annually thereafter. Previously, the AIM Rules for Companies (AIM Rules) required investing companies to have an investing strategy. Existing investing companies have until 1 December 2009 to comply with the new requirements of the AIM Rules.
