Martin Wheatley has spoken on the work of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to rebuild consumer trust. He focused on:

  • better understanding between consumers and firms;
  • the transition to the FCA;
  • current conduct issues, specifically concerns that banks do not engage fully with the banking conduct regime; and
  • PPI complaints handling and complaints over sales of interest rate products to small businesses.
