The Ministry of Health has released its new Standards of Service Provision for Lung Cancer Patients in New Zealand. These Standards were developed by the National Lung Cancer Working Group in a bid to improve outcomes for lung cancer and to reduce inequalities associated with this disease: "By developing national standards for the investigation, diagnosis, treatment and supportive care of lung cancer we aim to improve the overall care of all patients with lung cancer. The intention is that these national high-level standards will be implemented locally or regionally". The Standards are available here.
