EBA consults on shorter time series for IRB calculations: EBA is consulting until 7 June on RTS that set out conditions under which national competent authorities (NCAs) can allow firms to use data covering a shorter period than the CRR would otherwise require to calculate risk weights under the Internal-Ratings-Based (IRB) approach. This is referred to as a "data waiver" and would involve allowing the use of data covering a period of two years minimum instead of the five years normally required. Firms would have to prove that data for longer time series is not available. (Source:Consultation on Data Waiver RTS
