Today the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3,900 applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 449 or higher to apply for permanent residence.

For the 7th draw in a row, 3,900 Invitations To Apply (ITAs) were issued. The CRS score spiked to 449 compared to 439 in the last draw of 2018. The CRS score of 449 is, in fact, one of the higher CRS scores that we have seen in the past 12 months.

For the IRCC to hit its increased targets for 2019 and 2020, we are hopeful that the IRCC will increase the number of ITAs issued over the course of this year. Whether these larger draws affects the minimum score is something that we will continue to monitor. So far, the number of ITAs have remained high and the CRS score have also remained relatively high.
