The UK Border Agency has introduced a new requirement for applicants to work in the UK under tier 1 (general) and tier 1 (entrepreneur) or any tier 2 category of the points based system.

Under the new rules, applicants who are submitting postgraduate certificates or diplomas in order to acquire points for qualification, must also include a letter of equivalency from UK NARIC. The change came into force on 12 October and the UKBA has warned that failure to include such a letter with applications may lead to decisions on applications being delayed or result in negative outcomes.

UK NARIC is responsible for providing comparisons between UK and overseas qualifications. To visit its website, please click here.
