The Cloud Infrastructure Services Providers in Europe (CISPE) industry group has established a voluntary code of conduct to set clear standards for the way cloud service providers process the data that customers store with them. Several providers of cloud services have already declared that they will comply with the CISPE code, which seeks to clarify the way in which cloud service providers process data, in order to give customers confidence that their data will be processed and stored in a manner that is consistent with EU law.
