The EBA has published a recommendation on the development of recovery plans and which sets out the EBA’s view of appropriate supervisory practices within the European System of Financial Supervision for the development and coordination of effective and consistent recovery planning. The aim of such plans is to minimise the potential systemic impact of any failure of a financial system.

The EBA expects all competent authorities to whom the recommendation is addressed to comply with it and to incorporate the recommendations into their supervisory practices as appropriate.
