The annual increase in compensation limits takes effect from 1st February 2009.

Clients will be familiar with the fact that the limits on compensation for certain types of statutory employment law claims increase on an annual basis. The latest round of increases will apply to dismissals and other causative events that take place from 1st February 2009.

Unfair Dismissal Compensatory Award limit: increases from £63,000 to £66,200

Week's Pay limit (for instance in Unfair Dismissal Basic Awards or Statutory Redundancy Payments): increases from £330 to £350 .
