Loy Yang Power and EESTech have reached an agreement for a carbon capture project in Australia. Loy Yang Power, which operates a 2200 MW coal-fired power plant in Victoria's Latrobe Valley, will use EESTech's advanced technology to capture its carbon emissions. EESTech will use HTC Purenergy's capture technology that they have exclusive rights to. The technology is the world's first pre-engineered, modular CO2 capture system can be retrofitted to existing plants.
