Mexico August 24 2010

The Mexican Ministry of the Interior published in the Federal Official Gazette the Mexican Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Data in Control of Private Persons (the Data Protection Law). The Data Protection Law contains provisions that are in line with the non-binding "Recommendations of the Council Concerning Guidelines Governing the Protection of Privacy and Trans-Border Flows of Personal Data" issued by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and, as a result, it also satisfies the International Safe Harbor Privacy Principles.
