• On October 3, 2012, Sen. John “Jay” Rockefeller IV, D-W.Va., Chair of the Senate Commerce Committee, sent a letter to FTC Chairman Jon Liebowitz urging the agency to continue its efforts at the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to press for voluntary “do-not-track” commitments from web browsing companies.
