The software industry’s annual turnover is US$ 50 million and growing steadily. The bases for defining Paraguay as a center of cutting edge technology in the region are thus more robust. Most in demand are mobile applications and digital platforms for companies, and today, they are at the level of similar products produced by the largest corporations in the world.

The President of the Paraguayan Chamber of Software Industry estimated a 20% growth in 2014, which prompted the ICT Sector Board of REDIEX to choose software as a strategic product that also creates jobs in medium term – in the past five years it grew from 2500 to 7000 jobs – and a net profit of US$ 6 billion in exports.
