The Minister of Economic Affairs has announced that the long-awaited bill introducing criminal sanctions for competition law infringements will not only include the possibility to impose prison sentences on individuals but also to disqualify individuals.1

The bill will include the possibility of imposing prison sentences on individuals who have ordered or perpetrated an infringement of competition law, as well as disqualifying these individuals. The Minister of Economic Affairs has announced that the bill will be published in the first half of 2009.
