OSHA recently announced that it intends to extend the deadline for employers to electronically report their employee injury and illness records. The rule currently requires most employers with ten or more employees to electronically report injury and illness records on or before July 1, 2017. OSHA has yet to develop the website to facilitate this reporting and has yet to indicate what the new deadline will be. Based on past experience with extensions of OSHA deadlines, it is unlikely that the new deadline will be any earlier than October 1, 2017, but we will update you once the new deadline is established.
