France has finally promulgated Decree 2011-219, which implements the 2004 Law on Confidence in the Digital Economy (LCEN) (2004-575). The LCEN requires that Internet service providers and online hosts of user-generated content retain data allowing the identification of any persons who used their services to contribute to the creation of online content.
