John Bryson was confirmed to be U.S. Secretary of Commerce on October 20, and sworn into his new position the next day. On October 21, Paul Piquardo was confirmed to be Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Import Administration, Michael Punke was confirmed to be Deputy U.S. Trade Representative, and Islam Siddiqui was confirmed to be Chief Agricultural Negotiator at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.
