VAT regime for company cars clarified

Belgium December 26 2012

Effective January 1, 2011, the VAT regime for company cars was changed. Under the old regime, the VAT incurred on car costs was 50% deductible for the employer and the employer had to charge VAT on the benefit in kind granted to the employees as determined for income tax purposes.
