Thought you missed your chance to submit comments regarding a new gTLD application? You’re in luck. ICANN recently decided to extend the public comment period for an additional 45 days.
As a reminder, anyone may submit comments regarding a new gTLD application, which will be considered by independent evaluation panels during the application review process. This may be a low-cost way to convince ICANN that a particular new gTLD should not be awarded. All trademark owners should carefully review the list of new gTLD applications and be prepared to submit comments, if necessary, by September 26, 2012. Comments must be submitted through ICANN's designated form, available here. For a complete list of all applied for gTLDs, please click here.
There is still time to plan your gTLD defense strategy.
