On October 13th, a federal district court granted judgment on the pleadings in favor of Deutsche Bank. The Court held that the bank did not violate Michigan foreclosure law when it foreclosed plaintiff's property after plaintiff failed to pay his mortgage. State law for foreclosure by advertisement requires the names of the mortgagor, the original mortgagee, and the foreclosing assignee. It does not require the name of the mortgage servicer. Hartop v.
