The European Union’s (EU ’s) European Chemicals Agency (ECH A) has published updated guidance on complying with substance registration requirements under the EU ’s Regulation No. 1907/2006, registration, evaluation, and authorization of chemicals (RE ACH ). According to ECH A, the guidance was comprehensively revised for clarity and to eliminate any inconsistencies that arose during amendments and additions since it was published in 2007. It was also restructured to make it “simpler and more user friendly.” Registration requirements under RE ACH apply to substances manufactured or imported in volumes of 1 metric ton or more; they must meet a series of deadlines through 2018.
