Layne Christensen is another company facing an investigation by a law firm that represents shareholders in class actions against publicly traded companies.

The investigation follows Layne Christensen’s disclosure in recent SEC filings and reports to the DOJ that three of its managers have been suspended pending an internal probe that it may have violated the FCPA in an unnamed African market. The company disclosed that it had uncovered “documents and information suggesting improper payments” over a “considerable period of time.”

The company, headquartered in Mission Woods, KS, provides drilling and construction services related to water, wastewater treatment and mineral exploration.
