The President’s Council on Jobs on Competitiveness will continue its series of listening sessions on job growth and the economy at several meetings in North Carolina June 13. President Obama formed the council in January to find ways to bolster the economy by fostering job creation, innovation, growth, and competitiveness. This week’s sessions will focus on, energy innovation and the smart grid, among other things, and the president will tour the headquarters of Cree, Inc., a manufacturer of energy-efficient lighting.
