The ACCC released its annual Airport Monitoring Report for 2011-12 showing an overall reduction in the quality of service at each of the monitored airports. The ACCC attributes this decrease to continued growth in passenger numbers, and called for more investment to avoid excessive congestion. Chairman Rod Sims noted that Sydney Airport “is perhaps of greatest concern given the pattern of price and earnings increases, lower service standards and low investments levels compared with other airports”.
