The Government published the summary of responses this week on its latest round of proposed changes to the Building Regulations. The results can be seen here.

The changes cover a number of Parts of the Building Regulations, including Parts A, B, C, L, K, M, N and P. One headline issue in the press at the time of the consultation was the controversial "consequential improvements" change proposed to Part L, which would have required home owners making specific changes to their property to upgrade the energy performance of their homes. The Government announced last week that this would be dropped. The Summary of Responses gives more detail on this including a statement explaining the effect of the press inaccurately dubbing consequential improvements the "conservatory tax".
