The Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) at EP has published a draft of the opinion it has to deliver to the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs on the fourth Money Laundering Directive (MLD4). JURI proposes distinguishing between casinos, on-line gambling and other providers of gambling services, because it says the last category of provider only gives rise to money laundering risks at the time of paying "prizes". On other issues, JURI seeks a better alignment with the FATF's February 2012 Recommendations. (Source: JURI Draft Opinion on MLD4)
