The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking public feedback on the Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity, which was released in February 2014 following an Executive Order from President Obama the previous year.  Created in order to help organizations better identify, assess, and reduce cybersecurity risk, the Framework is intended to be a “living document” that will evolve as it is voluntarily implemented.  On August 26, NIST released a request for information in the Federal Register with questions about users’ awareness of the cybersecurity framework, their experiences with implementing it, and their thoughts on the accompanying Roadmap and its coverage of key cybersecurity concerns.  Users’ responses will be published on the Framework website at the end of the 45-day comment period.
