Welcome to the Autumn issue of our Gall Litigation newsletter.
Despite the city being noticeably quieter over the summer, we have been involved in several exciting initiatives including co-leading a joint CPD event on arbitration, held alongside HKIAC and Des Voeux Chambers, travelling to China on multiple marketing trips, and attending International Employment Lawyer's employment law conference in Singapore where our Partner Felda Yeung met with peers and joined topical discussions relating to employment law.
In other news:
- Congratulations to Partner Kenix Yuen who passed the 2023 GBA Legal Professional Examination with high marks, meaning she can soon capitalise on her dual qualification to provide cross-jurisdictional legal services to clients in the GBA;
- We were delighted to be recognised by ALB in its inaugural "Firms to Watch" list;
- We also recently won ALB's Hong Kong Law Awards "Dispute Resolution Boutique Firm of the Year" award, for the second consecutive year.
Earlier this week we hosted an online seminar with Stonebridge Legal, a Russian firm formed by ex-lawyers of Freshfields in Moscow, to encourage clients to continue to refer disputes to the HKIAC for resolution. We are strong advocates of the arbitration process and of using Hong Kong as a seat of arbitration.
