Tribunal backs FCA over approval withdrawal: The Tribunal has agreed with FCA's decision to ban Ghanshyam Batra from any function in relation to regulated activities. Mr Batra had provided false information in relation to mortgages and FCA contended he was dishonest and lacked integrity. The Tribunal found no evidence of deliberate dishonesty but agreed Mr Batra lacked integrity. His firm has now gone out of business but the Tribunal agreed FCA should issue a final notice setting out the ban. (Source: Tribunal Backs FCA Over Approval Withdrawal)
