Report to President Trump on Reforming America’s Healthcare System Released: A report on reforming America’s healthcare system through choice and competition has been released. The report was prepared by the Department of Health and Human Services in collaboration with the Departments of the Treasury and Labor, the Federal Trade Commission, and several offices within the White House. The report describes the influence of state and federal laws, regulations, guidance, and policies on choice and competition in health care markets and identifies actions that states or the federal government could take to develop a better functioning health care market.

OECD Releases Pensions Outlook for 2018: Today the Organization for Economic Co-operation Development (OECD) released 2018 edition of the OECD Pensions Outlook, which examines how pension systems are adapting to improve retirement outcomes. It focuses on designing funded pensions and assesses how different pension arrangements can be combined taking into account various policy objectives and risks involved in saving for retirement. It also looks at how countries can improve the design of financial incentives, and presents policy guidelines on aligning charges and costs of providing funded pensions.
