On June 17 2010, CPSC published in the Federal Register an extension of the stay of enforcement of testing and certification requirements under Section 14 of the CPSA, as amended by Section 102 the CPSIA, with respect to the consumer product safety rule on bicycles until August 14, 2010. With respect to reflectors, CPSC announced an extension of the stay until November 14, 2010. CPSC further announced that bicycles with non-quill-type stems are excluded from certifying compliance to the handlebar stem insertion mark requirement until further notice.
