ESAs publish joint work programme: ESMA, EBA and EIOPA have published their joint work programme for 2015. The programme focuses on:
- consumer protection: this will include work on standards for Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products (PRIIPs), and developing high level principles on cross-selling;
- risk assessment: this will focus on identifying risks and vulnerabilities, and developing indicators for cross-sectoral risks;
- regulatory work: the ESAs will prioritise several key initiatives including securitisation, financial conglomerates, money laundering prevention, payment services and credit ratings;
- supervisory practices: the ESAs will continue their cross-sectoral training programme and will also work to ensure cross-sector consistency generally.
