Singapore November 30 2010

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (the “MAS”) has decided to proceed with and implement as soon as possible a number of proposals designed to further safeguard retail customers of listed and unlisted investment products. The MAS will proceed to implement most of its proposals and these will be implemented as expeditiously as possible. Financial institutions will be expected to adopt the remaining proposals even before legislative implementation as good practice in conducting business with their customers.
