Further to our July update (available here), the Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) and Safaricom have entered into a settlement agreement which requires non-exclusivity of Safaricom's M-Pesa agents. This will allow M-Pesa agents to work freely with rival mobile money providers. The settlement agreement follows the CAK's investigation into an alleged infringement by Safaricom of Kenya's Competition Act. The CAK has also subjected Safaricom to oversight by the Central Bank of Kenya.

"The newsfeeds are extremely relevant. They address both legislative and judicial updates and offer an experienced, thoughtful analysis of directions or trends. The articles are all extremely well done and provide a practical viewpoint, not just an academic one. Most topics have at least 3-5 articles from various law firms, so there's an opportunity to read different perspectives and analyses."
