Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) released the 13th Five Year Plan of Chinese Academy of Sciences in a recent press conference. According to the Plan, CAS summarized 60 major breakthroughs and 80 projects with the potential to define future developments in the fields of advanced materials, energy, life and health, marine, resource and ecological environment, information and photonic space. CAS hoped to get a head start and become leaders and pioneers in several cutting-edge cross-disciplinary areas by nurturing a batch of original products of strategic importance and exemplary transforming projects.
