The FSA has published a paper, Understanding the basics of the new Conduct of Business sourcebook (COBS) for retail markets. The paper is aimed at boards, senior management, non-executive directors and others who would benefit from a high-level overview of the chapters and ‘key rules’ in COBS most relevant to retail markets. The key rules are based on COBS as published in the FSA’s ‘Reforming the Conduct of Business sourcebook’ policy statements (PS07/2: Implementing the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) - Feedback on CP06/14, CP06/19 and CP06/20, PS07/6: Reforming Conduct of Business Regulation - Feedback on CP06/19 and CP06/20 and PS07/16: FSA confirmation of Industry Guidance - Feedback on DP06/5).
