The House planned a voting day for Monday, October 18 but changed it to a non-voting day when it was clear leaders were short of votes to approve a pension reform bill. House members are now scheduled to come back to session on November 8. The Senate amended the pension bill, HB 2497, with language that would establish an independent fiscal office. House Appropriations Chairman Dwight Evans, DPhila., opposed combining the pension bill with one that creates a new fiscal office.
