FSA is launching a web-based system for submission of regulatory applications for approved persons, appointed representatives, variations of permissions, passports, cancellations, waivers and standing data. It will replace existing paper-based processes and systems such as Firms Online (the RT element). The ONA (Online Notifications and Applications) system will go live (initially on an optional basis) from 7 June 2010. All firms, in all sectors, will need to register via the ONA registration site, available from that date, and FSA will provide details on how to do this. In the early autumn, the system will become mandatory for all such applications.
