The EEOC has brought a suit against Delphi, one of the world's largest automotive parts suppliers (and currently in bankruptcy proceedings), based on its policy of requiring workers returning from sick leave to sign releases permitting company representatives access to their medical information. An employee in Delphi's Rochester facility protested and, the EEOC alleges, was immediately terminated in retaliation. (EEOC vs. Delphi, No. 07 CV 643OT, (W.D. N.Y., 2007).
