Further to our February update (available here), racehorse breeder and Africa Race Group CEO, Phindi Kema, has withdrawn a complaint alleging anti-competitive conduct against the National Horseracing Authority, Phumelela Gaming and Leisure and Gold Circle. The complaint was lodged by Kema in 2011 with the Competition Commission which failed to refer the matter to the Competition Tribunal after its investigation. Kema self-referred the matter to the Tribunal, but withdrew the complaint just before the hearing. The Tribunal has accepted Kema's withdrawal.
