Under the program known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, certain young people who entered the United States as children and are now out of status could request consideration of deferred action and be eligible for two-year work authorizations.  Eligible individuals began applying for deferral on August 15, 2012.  The first wave of work permits under this program has been approved.  Therefore, Employers can expect to see these Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) soon.
