Following a number of recent complaints of vote-rigging in the 2011 District Council election in Hong Kong, where registered electors were alleged to have submitted false or suspicious residential addresses in their application, the ICAC has actively pursued these complaints and, to date, more than 50 have been arrested, and 3 more have been jailed this month, bringing the total number of convicted to 30. More than 10 people were also reported to have been quizzed over alleged vote-rigging in September 2012's election and the ICAC has initialed investigation following 70 complaints.
