Aim of this guide

The In-Houser is a guide that aims to help in-house lawyers navigate the requirements of the SRA Standards and Regulations (the “StaRs”) which will be introduced from 25 November 2019. It adopts a practical approach to determine what obligations apply to in-house lawyers but does not seek to promote any particular approach or best practice.

The StaRs are the culmination of a three year consultation period designed to reform and simplify the rules applying to solicitors.
