Companies holding an existing Pharmaceutical Licence from the Copyright Licensing Agency (“CLA“) have been given the opportunity to upgrade to a new Trial Pharmaceutical Collaboration Licence (“TPCL“), at no extra cost.  The TPCL will enable licensed companies to legally share copies of material from CLA covered publications with similarly licensed organisations on projects or products where they are working collaboratively.

The TPCL is designed to offer existing licence holders extended permissions to enjoy the benefits of sharing in an industry which relies heavily on collaboration between companies in the development of new products.

The TPCL has be introduced on a trial basis and feedback will be requested from licensees later this year for any suggested improvements.

Further information on the TPCL and how to apply can be found on the CLA website.  The CLA has also published FAQs which can be found here.
