Due to uncertainties surrounding one of the categories of external auxiliary created by the Sustainable Economy Act 2/2009 (dated 4 March 2009), that which is termed the "auxiliary adviser", the Spanish Insurance Supervisory Authority (DGSFP) arranged an informative conference about this matter. They clarified the training requirements auxiliary advisers must meet, stating that, despite the current legal obligation of providing them with type C training (as external auxiliaries), a new regulation will be passed soon setting forth the obligation of providing them with type B training.
