AFME has responded to FSA’s consultation on corporate governance. It thinks FSA’s approach goes too far beyond its existing practice and the Walker recommendations. It thinks FSA should set clearer guidelines to allow firms to conduct effective hiring processes. It does not agree with FSA’s proposals to remove the current guidance on the role of NEDs and wants more guidance on the scope of the new CF00 function and the responsibilities of people who hold it. The response also comments on FSA’s interview process.
