FSA has banned a former partner in a City firm from working in financial services. It has already fined the firm for employing him in a controlled function for four years without FSA's approval, and despite knowing FSA had reservations about his fitness and properness. Margaret Cole said the ban was necessary as the man had acted in a significant influence role without FSA approval and in the knowledge that FSA did not regard him as a suitable person to run a firm.
