On 8 October 2014, the Companies (Amendment) Bill 2014 (the “Bill”) was passed in Parliament. When in force, the Bill will introduce wide ranging changes to the Singapore Companies Act to reduce regulatory burden on companies, provide greater business flexibility and improve the corporate governance landscape in Singapore. The Bill was tabled in Parliament for First Reading on 8 September 2014.
